Greek Famous People

These paragraphs are all about the famous people in Greece. The first person I will start out with is Maria Callas. Maria Callas was one of the most famous people in Greece. She was a famous opera singer. Maria Callas was born December 2, 1923 and died September 16, 1977. The state she was born in was in New York, but went to Greece to learn opera. After that she made a life there.She had wonderful wide raging voice ,and great dramatic techniques. Her remarkable singing and dramatic talents got known-ed her as La Divina. She made a career in
Italy, Greece. Maria Callas used to be over weight which made her voice nice and deep, but then she lost a lot of weight which made her voice less deep which ended her singing career. Years later Leonard Bernstein called her the bible of opera, and in 2007 she came in the article after she died and told about her. How she was a famous opera singer.
This next person is very famous in the U.S.. Hollywood. Her name is Jennifer Aniston. She has done a lot of movies. She was born in the U.S., but is Greek from her Dad’s side of the family . In every interview Jennifer Aniston has talked about her being Greek, and making traditional recipes at home. She was born February 11, 1969. Also she has gotten a lot of Golden Globe awards, and Emmy awards for best actress. Jennifer Aniston was acting in a lot of shows that got canceled. But throughout when she got famous people were asking her to be in their movie’s. One of the shows that got cut off was Farriss Bueller’s Day Off, but one of the famous movies was Marley. It was about a couple who owned a German Shepard that kept getting sick so they had to put the dog asleep. It was based on a true story. Rated PG.
Plato was a famous important person in Greece. He was born around 429 B.C. to 423 B.C. Plato was a classical Greek philosopher. He was known as a mathematician and fame writer in Greek. He had a lot of romodels in his time and played an important role to people. Also it was said he was one of the most Socrates’ developed followers.
Homer was a famous poet. He wrote the Odyssey. The Odyssey was a famous poem about the Argonaughts journey through the sea; about their perils and triuumphs.
Sappho was very famous because she was a woman poet. Most poets were men. Her poems were emotional and beautiful.
Aesop was famous for his fables; short stories that taught people life lessons.
